Frequently asked questions
Who can apply to the WeTrip Agent Programme?
Registered travel agencies, tour operators, group leaders and MICE planners in any country who sell, or want to sell, travel to China. The agreement is non-exclusive, so you can keep working with other suppliers.
Is there a joining fee?
No. There is no fee to apply or to become a WeTrip agent.
How long does the review take?
We review your application within 3–5 working days of receiving your documents. You get an email with your reference number and the document checklist as soon as you apply.
Which documents do you need?
Your company registration certificate, a travel agent licence if one is required in your country, your registered address and a key contact. USD bank account details for commission payments are only needed when you sign the agreement.
How and when is commission paid?
Commission is paid in USD by bank transfer after each tour is completed, against your commission invoice. The rate and the group incentive are set out in your agent agreement.
Can I sell private or tailor-made tours?
Yes. WeTrip designs and quotes private tours to your client's requirements, and you earn a profit share on every confirmed private tour.
Do you provide marketing materials and training?
Yes. You receive itineraries, product descriptions, images and co-branded marketing materials on request, plus online product briefings for your sales team.
What are the deposit and cancellation terms?
A 30% deposit is due at booking and the balance 30 days before departure. Cancellations 22 days or more before departure carry no charge apart from payment processing and non-recoverable third-party costs; the full terms are in the agent agreement.
