There are two terminals in operation at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport currently, namely Terminal 3 (the former T1 and T3) and Terminal 4 (T4). Terminal 2 (T2) is closed for construction, and its reopening date is uncertain. Terminal 3 is dedicated to domestic departure and arrival flights, while Terminal 4 serves both international and domestic flights of major airlines. Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 are about 800m away, which takes about 15 minutes walk, or by airport shuttle bus Line 2 for about 25 minutes.
Terminal 4, open in 2022, is the largest terminal in Xiaoshan Airport. It serves both international (regional) airlines including Singapore Airlines (SQ), Qantas Airways (QF), Thai Air Asia (FD), Mandarin Airlines (AE), Qatar Airway Company Q.C.S.C. There are 4 common ways to get to the Hangzhou City Center from Xiaoshan Airport, by car, taxi, metro or airport shuttle buses.
By Private Car/Taxi: It's easy to take a car ride at Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport. The driving distance between airport to the city center is about 32-35 km, which takes about 1 hour.
By Metro: Visitors may take Hangzhou Metro Line 1 (departure at Wulin Square Station) and 7 (departure at Wushan Square near Wulinmen) to get to Hangzhou city center directly, or take Metro Line 19 to get off at West Lake Cultural Square Metro Station and then transfer to Metro Line 1 or 3 for one stop to get off at Wulin Square. The whole journey would take about 50-70 minutes.
By Airport Shuttle Bus: For independent travelers who arrive late may choose the airport shuttle buses to reach city center. Bus Line to Wulinmen (23:30-01:30, leave every 30mins; CNY 20/pp) can take you directly to Wulinmen and Wulin Square within 1 hour.
Hangzhou West Lake in Hangzhou City Center
Hangzhou is an intersecting point of busy rail corridors in Eastern China. There are Hangzhou high-speed train to/from Shanghai, Suzhou, Huangshan, Wuhan, Changsha, Qiandaohu, Beijing, Xi'an, etc. Travelers can transfer to Hangzhou train stations after getting off your flights. Private cars, taxis, metro lines, airport shuttle buses, and city buses are all available to make such a transfer.
To Hangzhou East Railway Station: Hangzhou East Railway Station is about 22km from the airport, which takes about 40 minutes by car. You can also take a airport shuttle bus for 1 hour (CNY 28/pp; run at 23:50, 01:40), or take Hangzhou metro Line 19 for about 0.5 hour.
To Hangzhou West Railway Station: Hangzhou West Railway Station is about 44km from the airport, which takes about 1 hour & 10 minutes by car. You can also take Hangzhou metro Line 19 for about 1 hour.
To Hangzhou South Railway Station: Hangzhou South Railway Station is about 20km from the airport, which takes 30-40 minutes by car. You can also take Hangzhou metro (Line 7 - Line 2 - Line 5) for about 1 hour.
To Hangzhou Railway Station: Hangzhou Railway Station is about 24km from the airport, takes 30-40 minutes by car. You can also reach the station by taking airport shuttle buses (Bus Line to Wulinmen) to get off in the middle way for about 35 minutes, or take Hangzhou metro (Line 9 - Line 1; Line 7 - Line 5; Line 7) for about 1 hour.
Hangzhou High-speed Train Station

Best Time to Visit Hangzhou: all year around
